Best Seed

We’ve got the best seed.  We didn’t go out and find just average seed.  We wanted the best. Whether it’s forage grasses, clovers, alfalfas, corn, or cover crops, we wanted the best.  We have partnered with companies that have research stations and plant breeders around the world.  Companies that have specialized in their field for over 100 years.  We have found that with our livestock, beef and dairy, that our animals with the best genetics are our most profitable animals, whether it is producing meat or milk.   It’s the same with forage genetics.  If you plant average genetics, don’t expect top end results.  You will probably have just average crops.  Your animals with the best genetics are not going to reach their full potential on average crops.  Unleash their potential and grow some of the best forages you’ve ever grown!

Best Knowledge

We understand farming has its challenges.  We’ve spent our lifetime as dairy farmers producing high quality forage for our dairy cows and we know that every year there are challenges to producing a great crop.  It’s called the “1,000 variables” and they include weather, insects, pests and diseases.  While no one is capable of predicting all of the challenges you will face in the coming year, there are steps one can take to minimize the damage from the 1,000 variables.  Remember: “Profit is not something to add on at the end, it is something to plan for in the beginning.”

Best Forage

We write cropping plans for our best customers.  We start in July writing plans for the following cropping year.   Because the quickest way to hit your goals (or to exceed them) are to have a written plan on where you are today and where you want to be in 3-5 years.  It’s like going on vacation, do you get in the car and start driving and hope you will find the vacation spot or do you follow a planned route to get there as quick as possible?  It is not uncommon for us to have customers increase their yields of digestible forage by 30-40%.  That’s like farming more acres without all the costs.  It contributes directly to your bottom line (and possibly another vacation).  Let’s work together to grow the best crops you’ve ever grown!
