L&P Consulting is owned and operated by Lyn & Paula Crabtree and their 2 sons Andrew & Caleb.  Their background in animal agriculture and Lyn's experience as a livestock Nutritionist /specialist have prepared them to be a valuable resource for your operation.  Lyn has worked as the Sales and Marketing Mgr. for Byron Seeds the last 5 years and knows Byron Seeds to be highly dedicated to provide only the very best in quality forages.

Byron Seeds is owned and operated by Samuel and Miriam Fisher.  They have been operating a dairy since 1989.  Due to difficulty in finding the seed he wanted, Samuel began handling seed in 1995.  Byron Seeds is a fast-growing family operation and a major supplier of forage seed throughout the Midwest and other states.  Maintaining about 55 test plots and monitoring them for palatability, yield, quality, persistence, heading dates, and leaf to stem ratio, allows them to research the newest and best forage grasses.  These test plots are harvested as forage or grazed by dairy cows.  Byron Seeds keeps a good supply of seed in stock to enable quick shipment of orders on most occasions and to service our drop-in customers.  If, however, one of Byron’s dealers is located near you, you may find their local service and advice to your advantage.

Byron Seeds & L&P Consulting is dedicated to locating and distributing high quality forages for the Midwest farm.  We feel confident that better quality, home grown forages are the key to profitability on our farm and on yours.  There are many lessons on this to be learned from European, Australian and New Zealand farmers, who have survived higher land prices and lower milk prices than ours.  We recognize, however, that unique climate and soil conditions of the Midwest require us to select and refine those species that will economically perform best in our situation.  It is our goal to have personal experience with the varieties of seed that we sell.  Before we attempt to market our products, they are scrutinized not only for nutritional quality, but also for production level and persistence.
