Crimson clover is an annual clover that can be planted in the spring or fall. Fast, vigorous growth, excellent N source, soil builder, and good for grazing or haying. Crimson clover has the potential to produce from 70 to 150 units of N. Prefers well drained soils. Inoculate crimson clover if it hasn't been grown before. In the fall, seed 6-8 weeks before frost. For spring seedings, plant after all danger of frost is past. Seeding rate is 15-18 lbs/acre drilled or 22-30 lbs/acre broadcast.

Mammoth Red Clover is a "single cut" clover. It is taller and coarser than medium red clover and is about 2 weeks later in maturity. It is primarily used as a green manure crop. Packaged in 50 lb. bags. Seeding rate 5-15 lbs/acre.

Yellow Blossom Sweet Clover is primarily used as a cover crop as it has deep roots that help break up compaction and build organic matter. Not a good forage crop. Packaged in 50 lb bags. Seeding rate 5-15 lbs/acre.

Nitrogen North is a mixture of species designed to offer high Nitrogen production (up to 150 units of N) and a green manure crop. Contains 60% Hairy Vetch, 15% Medium Red Clover, 15% Yellow Blossom Sweet Clover, and 10% Tillage Radishes. Good winter-hardiness. Seed mid-August through early September. Seeding rate 15-20 lbs/acre.

Nitrogreen South is a mixture of species designed to maximize nitrogen production and a green manure crop. Seed from mid-August through mid-October for those areas south of Interstate 70. If let to flower the following year, can produce up to 150 units of Nitrogen. Contains 60% Hairy Vetch, 30% Crimson Clover, and 10% Tillage Radishes. Seeding rate 15-25 lbs/acre.

Hairy Vetch is a vigorous annual legume primarily used as a nitrogen-fixing cover crop. Hairy vetch is planted in the fall and starts growth before becoming dormant in winter. In the spring, with the longer days, the plants make abundant growth and fix large quantities of nitrogen. Needs to be inoculated before seeding with a pea-vetch type inoculant. Seeding rate 20-30 lbs/acre.
