Kingfisher branch-rooted alfalfas are high yielding alfalfas with an excellent disease package that are designed for poorly drained soils or fields subject to heaving. They also perform well on medium to well-drained soils. The branch-root trait keeps more of the root system above the water table. These alfalfas are also very high qualilty, leafy alfalfas.     KingFisher 444 alfalfa has that extra quality plus high yields. Kingfisher 444 is a long rotation alfalfa with outstanding persistence. Handles wheel traffic very well. Kingfisher 444 alfalfa works well in wetter soil conditions because it keeps more of its branching root system above the water table. WI disease rating of 30/30.
