Branch-Rooted Alfalfas
Branch-rooted alfalfas are high yielding alfalfas with an excellent disease package that are designed for poorly drained soils or fields subject to heaving. 5050 Alfalfa ct
5050 Alfalfa is our best alfalfa to use on heavier soils. It has that extra quality with deep, rich green leaves plus very high yields. This alfalfa is a long rotation alfalfa with outstanding persistence due to its great disease package of 30/30 and is our best in winter-hardiness at 1.5. 5050 alfalfa will branch root when conditions are wet and works great in heavy ground. 5050 Alfalfa gives the producer a complete package for wide adaption. Fall dornancy 4. Handles wheel traffic very well and is also grazing tolerant. Seed is pre-inoculated, coated, and treated with Apron. 50 lb bag. Seeding rate 15-22 lbs/acre. 5400 Alfalfa ct
5400 Alfalfa has strong traffic and compaction tolerance, yield and superior forage qualtiy. Adapted to all U.S. production areas where fall dormancy 3, 4, or 5 varieties are recommended. 5400 alfalfa is expected to fit the traditional 3 or 4 harvest systems or rotational grazing programs. 5400 alfalfa has a medium maturity to one-tenth flower and an average rate of recovery after harvest to fit well with cool season grasses or other legumes in mixtures.
