Yellow Blossom Sweet Clover  -Order Now-
Known as a good soil builder because it adds 80 to 100 units of Nitrogen and improves tilth.

Norcen Birdsfoot Trefoil  -Order Now-
A long-lived legume, Norcen is high yielding and used for haying and grazing.  Trefoil often does well on soils with poorer drainage and lower pH that is not suited for alfalfa.  It long outlives Red Clover.  No cases of bloat have been recorded in animals grazing Trefoil.  Norcen tends to be higher yielding than other trefoils.

LegendNew, Superior Lespedeza  -Order Now-
Tremendous production of summer forage, disease resistant, retains more leaves, boost pasture yields, and reduce the effects of endophyte toxicity, while reducing nitrogen fertilizer needs.  Performs better on marginal soils than Clover, Legumes, etc.

New Legend

  • 1/3 Taller and More Leaves
  • 5 Days Earlier than Marion
  • More Drought Tolerant

Annual Forages

Byron Seed has experienced a tremendous increase in sales of annual forages the past 2 – 3 years.  The demand for the various annual forages have kept us “hoppin” trying to identify and obtain the best possible products to make available for our customers.  An interview with Samuel Fisher, the owner and CEO of Byron Seed LLC, has shed some light on the three questions that come up regarding this huge increase in demand.
