Many of our wildlife seed mixes come from Tecomate, a company that has spent years of research in wildlife food plots. Forage Feast Chicory w/Yellow Jacket
Forage Feast Chicory tends to be very leafy, highly digestible, and bolt resistant. With a deep taproot, forage feast has good drought tolerance and summer production. It also has good winter-hardiness. Recommended seeding rate is 4 - 6 lbs/acre (monoculture) and up to 1 lb. in a pasture mix. Alice White Clover ct w/Yellow Jacket
Alice is our best selling #1 white clover for pastures. A time proven favorite of many graziers. Alice is a large-leaved, vigorous white clover variety which exhibits a tall growth pattern. It is a well-known, proven white clover that is extremely winter-hardy and grazing tolerant. Alice was the first white clover variety to successfully combine production and persistence when interplanted with grass. In addition, Alice is a legume, which produces its own nitrogen via nitrogen fixation - a symbiotic process in which Rhizobium bacteria in the root nodules "fix" nitrogen. Eagle Seed Large Lad RRTM
Large Lad RRTM forage soybean from Eagle Seed is the official soybean of the Mississippi Fisheries and Wildlife Department. It has dominated numerous forage trials and is known for its excellent bio-mass production and deer browsing tolerance. Large Lad RRTM forage soybean is Roundup Ready herbicide tolerant, up to 84 inches in height, and is very bushy. This forage soybean variety is resistant to most foliar diseases, phytophthora root rot, stem canker and several races of nematodes. Eagle Seed Big Fellow RRTM
Big Fellow RRTM forage soybean from Eagle Seed is the #1 biomass producer in the Mississippi State University- MS Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station Forage Trial. Big Fellow RRTM forage soybean has enormous leaf size and bushiness. The variety is drought tolerant. Leaf size can be larger than 8 inches, when irrigated. Big Fellow RRTM has resistance to several races of nematode, foliar disease, and stem canker. Big Fellow is a late-maturing, group 7 variety. Grouse chicory provides a short rotation, upright, uniformly leaved chicory, with a longer seasonal growth pattern from early-spring to late-autumn and winter. Grouse has rapid establishment and erect growth, making it the ideal chicory to use in brassica/herb blends and with short-term ryegrass varieties. 10 lb bag. Austrian Winter Peas
Austrian winter peas prefer a well-limed, well drained clay or heavy loam soils, near neutral pH or above and moderate fertility. An excellent source of plow down N as the peas can produce from 90 to 150 lbs N per acre. Shallow roots and succulent stems limit their overwintering ability. Sustained cold below 18 F without snow cover usually kills Austrian winter peas. Excellent to use as a companion crop. Seeding depth 1 1/2 to 3".
