HayMaster Pro Premium Grass Mix is an all grass mix of top varieties of soft leaf tall fescue, late maturing orchardgrass and timothy. The tall fescue varieties in this mix are high yielding with a soft leaf and high fiber digestibility. Tall fescue also has a very deep root system with good drought tolerance. The orchardgrass is very late maturing with great rust resistance. The timothy is a late maturing, hay type timothy. It is one of our most popular grass mixes to mix with alfalfa that works on a wide range of soil types and conditions. Great for cattle, sheep and horses. Very easy to dry and very high yielding mix. Contains 75% soft leaf tall fescue, 20% late maturing orchardgrass, and 5% timothy.
Suggested seeding rates:
Seeding depth: Plant 1/8″ to 1/4″ deep in a firm, moist seedbed.
Preferred soils: Light to heavy soils that are well drained soils with adequate fertility.
Management Suggestions: Use 25-30 lbs of N at seeding and 30-40 units of N after each cutting. May be planted in spring or late summer. Do not mow stubble less than 3″ to allow for faster regrowth.
